Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Manchester United press conference RECAP Man Utd boss discusses Pogba, Greenwood, De Gea and transfers

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer addressed members of the press on Wednesday morning as his side prepare for their first match of their pre-season tour schedule.

The Norwegian discussed a range of issues including Paul Pogba’s future, David de Gea’s contract situation, his plans for Mason Greenwood next season and, of course, United’s plans in the transfer market.

United have signed just two players so far during the summer window, with Daniel James’ arrival from Swansea City followed up by Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s move from Crystal Palace.

The MEN understands United have lodged an enquiry with Southampton over the availability of their central midfielder Mario Lemina.

Southampton are willing to sell the Gabon international – in part due to his sketchy injury record – just two years after he joined the club from Juventus.
